How to Root Galaxy S Plus I9001 using Stock Recovery

To Root Your Galaxy S Plus i9001 using stock recovery all you need to do this bellow steps carefully 


1.)  Download the root package: Download Link (Filename: Root-i9001-Signed.zip)

2.) Copy the Root-i9001-Signed.zip file to the internal SD card.

3.) [Important! Read this step completely before attempting to do anything] Boot   into stock recovery. To do so, first turn off the phone. Then, press and hold the Volume Up + Power buttons together, and let go of the buttons as soon as the Samsung logo shows up. Then, as soon as an icon showing “an Android in a box” comes up, press the Menubutton (the button on the left of the center/home button) to enter recovery.

4.) In recovery, use the volume keys to scroll up and down and the Home button to select items.

5.) Select the apply update from sdcard option. Then, scroll to theRoot-i9001-Signed.zip file and select it, followed by selectingYes on the next screen to flash the root package.

6.) Then, select reboot system now to reboot the phone. Your phone is now rooted.

7.) Now, whenever you attempt to use an app that requires root access, you’ll be asked whether you want to grant it superuser permissions. Simply select Allow to grant them root access. 

Un-rooting the Galaxy S Plus I9001
Rooting a phone voids the warranty, so in case you ever need to give it in for repairs, or just want to un-root for some other reason, here’s what you need to do

1.) Download the un-root package.
Download Link (Filename: UnRoot-i9001-Signed.zip) 
2.)Copy the UnRoot-i9001-Signed.zip file to the internal SD card, then flash it from recovery by doing steps 3 to 6 as in the rooting procedure above. Your phone will then be un-rooted.
Following the above procedures, you can root (and un-root) your Galaxy S Plus I9001 using the stock recovery, and use all the root-enabled apps you wish to use. Let us know how it works for you, in

How to root Galaxy Ace s5830i.
1.Download update.zip from here - DOWNLOAD LINK
2.Put update.zip in your main directory in the SD card.
3.Turn off your phone.
4.Boot in Recovery by pressing:POWER+VOLUME UP+HOME buttons.
5.In Recovery select Install zip from sd 
6.Choose update.zip
7.Reboot your phone and it's ready.There must be a Superuser icon in your Apps menu.

How to unroot
1.Download unroot.zip from here - DOWNLOAD LINK 
2.Exactly the same procedure as of rooting just put the file unroot in your main directory and folow the steps.

ClockWorkRecovery
1.Download ClockWorkRec5830i.zip from here - DOWNLOAD LINK2.Put the file ClockWorkRec5830i.zip in your main directory in SD again.
3.Turn off phone.
4.Boot in Recovery and select apply update.zip
5.Select ClockWorkRec5830i.
6.You have CWR but don't delete ClockWorkRec5830i.zip from the SD because 
every time you want to use it you must install it from the SD!!


Flashing s5830i with Odin v1.85
1.Turn off the phone and put it in Download mode by pressing Power+Volume Up+volume down.
2.Open Odin v1.84.Run as Administrator!.
3.Put the files in Odin and don't touch the settings
4.If it's a one-file firmware put it in PDA section.
If it's multiple put the files in the correct section.
5.Click start and don't touch the phone!Don't turn off computer and don't unplug the phone!It will reboot automatically and the first boot will take some time,so don't panic!


If you have "bricked" your s5830i a.k.a stuck at samsung logo just download Odin and flash PDA.tar form the link.

Update: samfirmware.com provide us with odin 1.84 with .pit file for our phone so from now on you can flash firmwares from samfirmware.com without problems.

How to install android 4.0.4 ICS on Samsung Galaxy S Plus


Step to install:


1.copy the zip files to memory phone


2.reboot into recovery


3.select wipe data/factory reset


4.select wipe cache partition


5.go to the advance menu and select wipe dalvik cache


6.install the zip files


7.reboot phone



now you can enjoy ics

How to change Windows 7 Hard-Drive Icons





Hope this tutorial helps people to have some fun.

1: Open the run command (or Windows + R) then type regedit and press enter.

2: In regedit, go to the following:
 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes (Tell me if it's the same for 32bit, i tested it in 64bit.)

3: On the left side, Right click on
 Classes and click on New then Key. Type Applications and press enter. (If already have the folder, go to the next step)

4: On the left side, Right click on
 Applications and click on New then Key. Type Explorer.exe and press enter. (If already have the folder, go to the next step)

5: On the left side, Right click on
 Explorer.exe and click on New then Key. Type Drives and press enter. (If already have the folder, go to the next step)

6: On the left side of regedit, right click on
 Drives and click on New then Key. Type the drive letter eg: [C] that you want to change the icon to and press enter.

7: On the left side, Right click on the drive letter folder
 eg: [C] and click on New and Key. Type DefaultIcon and press enter.

It should look like this:
 


8: On the right side, Right click on (Default) and click "Modify" (To convert jpeg's/png's and others to icon files, go to this very useful website i found)
Online Website Converter Obviously .GIF's do not work.

9: Close Regedit.

10. The changes should happen immediately, but in some cases you may need to restart your computer to apply the changes.
